Welcome to my art page! I’m a self-taught, published artist who does a little bit of everything. When I’m making jewelry, I enjoy working with sterling silver and stones. It sounds funny but I absolutely LOVE rocks and have since I was little. In 2018, I received my Registered Gemologist Appraiser diploma which means I now offer jewelry appraisals and gemstone identification. Information on those services can be found on my other website, www.pgjappraisals.com
These days I’m spending most of my time illustrating and painting. My preferred medium to work with is colored pencil although I do enjoy working in oils, acrylics and alcohol inks as well. I get my inspiration from nature and as you can probably tell by my “paintings”, I LOVE animals! My piece, “Small Wonders” is published in, CP Hidden Treasures by Ann Kullberg and, “Aniticipation” was on exhibit over the summer of 2014 at The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. As of February 1, 2019 my art can be found hanging at Darbytown Art Studio in Fredericksburg, VA so if you’re ever in the area, please stop by and check it out!
My memberships include the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA), the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers (NAJA), a student membership at the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) and Self-Representing Artist in Jewelry Design (SRAJD).
Thanks so much for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. Take a look around my page and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
